Fall is here and I have to say, I am fully embracing it. With the transition into cooler temperatures, I gravitate towards foods that bring lots of comfort and make me want to cozy up on the couch with a good book. Bring on the hearty soups, fall-inspired salads, hot coffee, and warming spices.

As I talk about in this post, I try to shop seasonally and locally as much as possible. By eating what’s in season, I’m inherently changing up the produce in my diet every few months—which means more variety and nutritional benefit, and produce is in its natural peak harvest season. You get what I mean when I say that peaches and cherries just taste better in summer, right?

Here’s a list of what to buy for the season, plus some recipe ideas to give you some inspiration in the kitchen.
