I started meeting with Rachel as my husband and I are experiencing infertility. I’ve seen studies on the benefits of improving nutrition helping to conceive naturally and thought I’d give it a shot. At the very least, I also wanted to eat healthier and build healthy habits. After a few sessions, I feel much more confident in meal prepping, buying healthier food at the grocery store (organic, grains, leaner proteins), eating breakfast, and making a balanced plate at every meal. While I’m far from perfect, I’ve noticed my stress levels decrease as I have a plan in place to eat healthy each week and have more energy from the whole foods I am eating. Rachel helped give me the building blocks of being healthier and I’m grateful for all of her coaching and positive reinforcement.
Working with Rachel changed my daily habits for the better. We worked together to find solution to improve my diet. From this I improved my sleep habits and anxiety for the better. She helped me understand how my daily habits can affect my day to day and making these small changes can overall improve my life. She never made me feel fearful to eat any food, but just be aware of what and when I am eating and how it makes me feel. Overall, I had a great experience and recommend her to anyone looking to improve their eating habits.
Working with a health coach was extremely valuable as Rachel helped me find resources that supported my personal health goals. She provided valuable insight that taught me how to improve my diet for my gut health goals. Rachel helped me create specific yet realistic health plans. She shared what ever resources were at her disposal that aligned with different health goals of mine. What I found most valuable was not only did Rachel help keep me accountable but her coaching style taught me how to support myself on my own. By the end of coaching timeline, I realized I had formed the habits I had been struggling to achieve on my own. Rachel’s demeanor during health coaching sessions are professional yet comfortable. I’m so thankful Rachel fostered a safe space for me to open up about health struggles so that I was able to work towards goals. My experience with Rachel helped me improve my quality of life. I can confidently say I carry the learned health habits and knowledge forward in my day to day life.
I had no idea what to expect when I signed up to work with a health coach. All I knew was that I wanted to improve my health and fitness. I figured she’d recommend some workouts and maybe suggest the types of food I should be eating. While Rachel did offer those kinds of recommendations (and they were very helpful), I had no idea she would help completely reframe how I approached wellness. She provided support, encouragement, accountability and the kind of knowledge I needed to tackle my biggest health battle: my mindset. Rachel is truly a light in this world, and I’m forever grateful to her for helping me believe in myself and giving me the tools and resources to build a healthy lifestyle. If you have the opportunity to work with her, take it. You won’t regret it.
Rachel changed my life for the better.
Rachel took several weeks on the upfront to learn about my health history and goals. After taking a nutritional assessment and completing a “food and mood” journal, we decided to tackle digestive health, gut health and blood sugar regulation. We started off slow, building simple habits that I could work into my schedule, such as warm lemon water first thing in the morning to jump start digestion.
Rachel built a robust, personalized health plan including one-sheet nutritional guides, recommended food lists and supplements. She researched grocery stores in my area and wrote shopping lists that considered my budget. She even helped me find healthy options for all of my favorite unhealthy foods which made craving obstacles easier to overcome. Similarly, Rachel researched supplements and vitamins to substitute the limiting versions I was taking and made sure each recommendation aligned with my holistic health goals and values.
After just six weeks of working with Rachel, I was able to stop taking acid reflux medication that I’d been taking every day for seven years! This was my number one objective in working with her. We tackled my sugar cravings and low energy by regulating my blood sugar.
Rachel is an empathetic partner who meets me where I’m at. We had formal bi-weekly check-ins but she was also available morning, noon and night to answer questions and address reactions. She checked in every few days to gauge how I was feeling or to share some bit of helpful research she recently learned.
I am grateful for Rachel’s expertise in the functional nutrition space. She helped me achieve health goals I never thought possible!
Rachel is a wonderful coach and an incredible human. I had the opportunity to work with her weekly for a month, focusing on a variety of health goals. I deeply appreciate her warm, calm demeanor and her ability to meet me exactly where I was. Each week, we set goals that felt both meaningful and achievable for me, and knowing I would be following up with her kept me accountable to the process.
The sessions with Rachel were great opportunity for me to focus on short term but impactful health goals. Thank you Rachel for providing the structure, practical tips, and making it all manageable.
I highly recommend Rachel as a top-notch holistic nutritionist. She is knowledgeable, thorough, and has a genuine interest in understanding issues and concerns related to achieving a healthy lifestyle. She is patient; answering all questions in layman’s terms, and forthcoming with not only recipes, but examples of specific food products that will work well (and why) with what you are trying to accomplish. The knowledge I gained from Rachel will be something I can transition into lifelong habits. As a result of working with Rachel, debilitating symptoms have disappeared and quality of life has improved tremendously! Rachel is A++ and receives high marks on all aspects of being a phenomenal Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.
Rachel is AMAZING!! She has truly helped me break my lifelong struggle with dieting that I have been stuck in for many years. She is extremely knowledgeable, respectful, and approachable with the complexities of one’s relationship with food. She made me feel super comfortable to discuss my hardships with food, and was there every step of the way to celebrate the small and big victories. Her approach to coaching is with the highest degree of knowledge coupled with compassion to meet people where they are in life.
At our meetings, I never felt judged or pressured to make drastic decisions which fostered a relationship of transparency to really break down the walls of my lifelong struggles with my body and food. Her intuitive, mindful and whole-body approach has truly changed the way I approach food today. Thoughts of food no longer cross my mind constantly and with simple but impactful changes to my dietary choices, I immediately felt more energized and uplifted. She has given me the power to find balance in my health and truly eat what I want without having to compensate for it through exercise or justification. It has really been life-changing. Rachel’s investment and strong confidence in me is unmatched by anyone else I have ever worked with. I HIGHLY recommend Rachel to everyone, no matter the stage of life or health. We all need a Rachel in our corner!!!
Rachel has become a great friend and mentor of mine. Her incredible intuition in the wellness space makes her so fun to learn from. Whether it’s creating a balanced yoga sequence or understanding our relationship with food and our bodies, she is open to discussing any range of topics in a nonjudgmental way. Rachel is the type of instructor and coach everyone wants to learn from because she makes information tangible and consistently shows genuine interest. If you’re considering working with Rachel, you won’t regret it!
Balance. Strength. Flexibility. The benefits of Rachel‘s yoga instruction extend far beyond her classes. Trying new challenges during class gives me confidence to persevere in unfamiliar situations. With her attention on the needs and abilities of her students, I feel safe and supported to simply do my best. Rachel provides a safe and supportive environment focusing on individual needs while building a community.
When I decided that yoga was missing from my life I could not have been more pleased to find Rachel as one of my instructors.
Rachel has a gift for making a person feel like they are “the only person in the room” with eye contact, a smile and a warm positive greeting. Her professional knowledge of yoga is apparent every single time I’m in class and I welcome all of her encouragement. Not all poses are easy for me at 71 but it’s so wonderful to have Rachel remind me and the class that our bodies are not the same and there is a pose that can be modified for each of us.
I’m so glad to have gotten to know Rachel as an instructor and consider her also a friend.
