About Me

Hi, I'm Rachel!

national board certified health & wellness coach | nutritional therapy practitioner | certified yoga teacher

I’m a health and wellness expert based out of San Diego with a passion for all things related to mind-body wellness. My mission is to help you discover what it means to truly feel connected to your health in mind, body, and spirit.

Let’s just say I wear many hats in the wellness space! With certifications in functional nutritionhealth coaching, and yoga/fitness, it’s my goal to support you in achieving optimal wellness through mind-body nourishment.

I’ve learned firsthand that how we feel inside is just as important as how we take care of our physical body, and that we achieve true wellness when both are in sync. In other words, our mind and body are deeply connected!

Whether through health coaching or teaching the mindful practice of yoga, my goal remains the same—to guide you in nurturing a deeper connection to your health and wellbeing, which will become your anchor in your path to lifelong wellness. To me, this is what creates meaningful and sustainable transformation from the inside out

my health story

My wellness journey has been just that—a journey! I have experienced what it feels like to not know anything about my health or what to eat, to dismiss and unknowingly mask my symptoms with band-aid approaches, and not really put thought into what made me feel truly “well”. For most of my young adulthood, this was my life.

Thanks to my very first experience in a yoga class (that really came full circle!), I came to the realization that I wasn’t supporting myself the way I should. I began to realize that I wanted to be a more active participant in my health journey and experience for myself a deeper knowing of how to nourish myself as best I could.

Over time, I slowly started to make shifts in my diet and lifestyle to prioritize my health. Through this, I was discovering that eating healthier was actually healing my body and my symptoms were disappearing, and that prioritizing stress relief through yoga was having a profound impact on my mental health. Oh, and that days spent working long hours in accounting and finance was completely out of alignment with who I truly was, and I was so unhappy and feeling a lack of purpose. It was all starting to make sense!

I became empowered in the decisions I was making to support myself on a daily basis, and eventually the small, incremental changes started to play a big role in how great I felt. All of this led me to where I am today. Several years later, I decided to take a leap of faith and quit my corporate job. I went back to school for nutrition, became a yoga teacher, and fully immersed myself in my mission to help others live a more healthier, more mindful lifestyle. I’ve never looked back!

As the years go on, I continue to benefit from learning more and more about my body and why it’s important to take a preventative approach to health. In this journey, I’ve realized the importance of taking care of myself not just for physical reasons, but for my mind and soul too. I continue to work on my health to this day, and I suffer from my own health struggles, but I know that I am equipped with the tools to handle anything that comes my way.
